Rosfjord Strandhotell

Located by a long, shallow sandy beach on Norway’s southern coast, Rosfjord Strandhotell is where generations of families have come to enjoy the sea, summer light, and time together.

This is where our family’s journey in hospitality began — first established as a campsite in 1934 by Isabella, the great-grandmother of the current owners.

Set directly by the shoreline, the hotel is first and foremost a seaside retreat. The beach is always ice-free and inviting year-round, and a beautifully promenade connects the hotel to Sørlandsbadet — a large indoor and outdoor water park just a short walk away.

Here, days are shaped by swimming, play, and easy access to nature. Forests, hills, and coastal trails surround the area, offering peaceful walks and outdoor adventures for all ages. With shallow waters, playgrounds indoors and outdoors, and Southern Norway’s finest mini-golf course, Rosfjord is the most child-friendly destination in the South Cape Collection.

Food is an important part of the experience. The kitchen at Rosfjord is known for high-quality cooking based on local ingredients, led by a Jovan our head chef with international background as former captain of the Serbian national culinary team. The cosy restaurants overlook the fjord, and in summer guests can dine outdoors, watching the sun set while children play and swim along the beach.

As part of the South Cape Collection, Rosfjord Strandhotell is known for its warm and personal hospitality, relaxed atmosphere, and focus on shared experiences.
